If the chart is the Project Table or one of the cost tables, and you want to export only data about specific tasks, use a search formula to identify that data.

You use Search Formula from the Search menu to do this. If Show Search is on in the Search menu, only tasks that match the current search criteria are exported.

Choose Export Data from the File menu.
